memo (it's ok to be myself)2007年01月10日(水)12時35分
I listened to a message of Colin "Love One Another", and realized and understood something more clearly about a thing that is nothing so much to do with the message...or, is it?
It's the uniqueness of each person and how it's important to be independent with each other. God made us differently. We Christians are one in Jesus, we all need to know the same truth and to live according to the law of the Spirit of life, but each ones are made different to take different function in the body. We are not to immitate other Christians. We are to learn from them the things of the Lord and from Jesus Himself who is in them, but we need to fullfill our own callings by learning what He is leading us to do by submitting carefully what the Spirit tells us in us.
I just started to understand a little what my role is in my own situation where the Lord has put me. It's becoming clearer and clearer what is my part in this. Now I think the question I had at the camp was like a starting point for me to recognize about this. And I know that He has made me ready enough to look around and understand this, too. And a big thing has been this:
I have been and I am enjoying so much watching people around me who I made friends with these days, and it has been a real joy to see their differences, and to learn what kind of role He has given them.
I need to be me. I need to say things what He reveals to me with my own words. They might be the same thing that others believe and experience, but it's ok to share freely how I see these things myself and how I feel it. And it is for the good of others and to build up others. I don't know how, but that's His part anyway.
So, we are to love God, love one another, honour each other, submit to God and other brothers and sisters, believe, remain in His word, live it out, and be ourselves as how He made us and fufill His purpose uniquely. Don't be afraid to be myself. Don't be afraid to feel how I feel. And don't be afraid even the mistakes because there will be progress as God brings growth in me.
Right?
This is something so relieving^^ I had been told to be myself, but I see it in a different light now.

Long time ago, I listened to a Colin's message in which he said "Many of you are afraid to be yourself but God has made you as you are. So don't be afraid to be yourself and enjoy who you really are." That's it! Very simple! This was very encouraging and inspiring word for me. Since that time I have been enjoying to be myself, as well as Christ in me, without any fear of people and even myself. Generally, those who are afraid of people are afraid of themselves. As Paul says:
"But by the grace of God I am what I am."
OK, let's enjoy who Jesus is and what He has done, and who I am in Him as well!
Blessings!

Thanks for your comment! It's encouraging to hear your testimony like this. So, that's how you began to enjoy being yourself.
When we enjoy being ourselves, we honour the Maker, right? I really want to continue to meditate upon this. Maybe it's something to do with worship, too.
So, I'll enjoy who Jesus is and what He has done, and who I am in Him as well (^^)
And, there will be more joy in life!

That's right! To the point!
If "oneness" in myself is realized, i.e., the more the split between the two "me"s, one is the "me" judging myself (observing me) and the other is the "me" judged by myself (observed me), is disappearing, the more the heart can rest in perfect God's peace. In such a heart the life of Christ can easily grow, in other word, the fruit (singular!) of the Spirit, i.e., love, peace, joy,...(9 elements in one fruit), will grow in us. It is the Holiness Jesus intends! Then some aspects of Christ's virtue will manifested through us. That is, God can be glorified through our humanity. (Note that it does not mean we become Gods!...:-)
God and we will have been living together in perfect love, peace, joy and harmony! This is the Temple built of living stones, i.e. us. How glorious and hopeful vision!

I'm just amazed at how the fellowship of real life can bring life more abundant. The fellowship may include sitting, worshipping together and sharing testimonies, but it's something bigger than that. Life shared, and see how such truth operates in people inspires and gives understanding of the truth in reality. One can build up others more when he is more "one", and manifests more of Christ upon that ground in their normal life.
Personally, I was so encouraged when Colin said in his massage you interpreted this Sunday that sensitivity in us can be used for others when we love. Sensitivity, when selfless, is a good thing! I just said, “Thank You, Lord.” It just needs to go through the cross.
At our camp, it was good to see those unique fellows gathered like that this time. It can be something like a model of a real healthy Christian community. And we really don’t know what’s gonna happen next there.
Lots of thanks to you, and praise God!!

Yes, the word "Atonement" means "At+One+Ment". The more we are one in ourselves, the more we can be one with each other. It is very comfortable for everyone.
And Holiness, especially in subjective meaning, is our becoming more human revealed in Jesus, i.e., the humanity glorified in the Person of Christ. This holiness is produced from "atonement". As the Scripture says,
But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
Then,
that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

Yeah, this is it what I was thinking this morning. And I'm recognized that the image I had with the word "oneness" was wrong. Our God is a God of variety and each one's uniqueness remains in that oneness. Very colorful picture I get.
So, we'll enjoy Him and oneness of individual and of ours in Him, and the world will believe that the Father sent Jesus, i.e., that He is the Son of God. Wow!
