memo

'Be sure that no matter what you say or do, you are able to do everything in the name of Jesus, because you do what pleases Him, and you do it with thankfulness to God the Father because of all you receive in His Son.' (Col.3:17)
Whenever I preach, teach or write I trust Christ to speak through me, to give me the right words. I have done this for over 40 years and have learned so much myself in the process. I listen as I speak and learn from what I say because the source of the words is not my limited understanding, but the Spirit of the risen Christ who lives in me.
I have nothing I want to say; He gives me the words to say. So I am receiving revelation, along with everyone else who is listening.
Do I prepare to speak? Most certainly, even though I do not have a prepared text from which to speak. I have to be in the place of unity and submission to the Lord, confident that He will speak through me.
